OK Go films new music video in Oregon
OK Go By Elissa Harrington KVAL News and KVAL.com staffCORVALLIS, Ore. - The band OK Go filmed their new video in Corvallis. The band made the announcement Saturday night at the Majestic Theatre during a da Vinci Days event. Famous for videos like the "treadmill dance," OK Go just finished filming their latest project in Corvallis. Tourism officials helped set up the shoot - and have been keeping the secret for weeks. What can they say about the video? "Just that this is supposed to be one of the best ones they've ever done," said Eric Kingstad with Corvallis Tourism. Ok Go's latest video release off their new album shows the foursome dancing in colorful jumpsuits. The Corvallis shoot is for the song "White Knuckles," off that same album. The video is due out in September. "I'm kind of surprised," said Evan Bing-Sawyer of Corvallis, "but I guess a lot of the things that come from them are surprising." Kingstad cautioned that, even if the video goes viral, the impact might be more local than global. "If you look at their videos, you don't necessarily know where those are filmed," he said. "I think it's a great story for Corvallis. I'm not sure the rest of the world is going to identify that or know it was filmed here, but we will." |
