Kids learn about the body with 'Bodywalk'

COOS BAY, Ore. -- 600 third grade students got to go inside the human body this week at 'Bodywalk.'

As a class assignment, high school students from Marshfield and Bandon taught the third graders about the body and safety using real organs and fun games.

The US Coast Guard and Bay Cities Ambulance also participated.

The teachers say it's a great way for both the third graders and teenagers to learn about the human body. "I like it," said Justin Casey. "I didn't think I would like it this much, but it's fun. It's fun to see them come in and show them everything and have them look at the real intestines and do our demonstrations and what not."

This is the tenth year the schools and health community have put on this event.
