Officials: 'Boil order' in Coos Bay lifted, water safe to drink

COOS COUNTY, Ore. -- Officials with the The Coos Bay-North Bend Water Board say that tests are complete, and residents that were under a 'boil order' can drink the water again.
The impacted neighborhoods impacted by the order were Millington, Englewood, Libby, Bay Park and parts of Eastside.
The water board said on Tuesday that they have completed flushing and water quality sampling in the areas affected by Sunday’s power outage.
They say the test were done over the last two days, and the water quality has been determined to be good in the affected areas.
The order was lifted at noon.
Rob K. Schab, General Manager of the water board, said in a release that "The health and safety of the utility’s customers is our primary concern. We appreciate our customer’s patience as we took steps necessary to reestablish water service and complete water quality testing."
