Local students raise money for disaster relief.
By Brie Thiele, KCBY NewsForeign exchange students in our local area band together to raise money for disaster relief overseas. That money is on it's way to Pakistan where ravishing floods have destroyed parts of the country and taken millions of lives. "My country, it is suffering from a flood and it is getting severer and severer (sic) and it is causing much of a disaster," says Tahir. "So many people out there. There are like 20 million victims, and there are more than that. I'm here alone, far away from Pakistan. I need to help the people there." The carwash was donation only and the students ended up raising $150. |
