Coos Bay - Providing resources for pregnant women and their families throughout the Bay Area, the Pregnancy Resource Center in Coos Bay receives some extra funding to expand the services they provide.

With over 200 pregnant women walking through their doors every month, the center was in need of all the extra help they could get, so when they heard that they were recipients of a $5,000 from Trust Management Services, Executive Director Madge Osborn was thrilled.

"This grant that we're getting is specifically focusing on teen parents, to expand our education program, we call it LIFE, learning, incentives for earning."

Under the life program, teen parents learn the importance of budgeting money and being a good parent.

Osborn says that as the LIFE program expands, the center will be able to offer more one on one counseling between clients and volunteers in addition to other services.

The center currently offers services ranging from pre-natal care, to ultra-sounds, and even parenting skills to young parents and their children.
