Fireworks at Mill get 4th started early

NORTH BEND - Those who live in the Bay Area know that the 4th of July celebrations actually get started early in North Bend, as the Mill Casino Hotel holds it's annual extravaganza by the Bay.

Such was definitely the case again this year, as crowds packed the boardwalk and beyond in advance of Thursday night's fireworks grand finale.

But, prior to the explosive fun, there was plenty of other types of family fun events at the Mill. Music, Jump For Fun, "birdmen"..you name it, and it was on display.

Ultimately, however, the crowds had turned out to see the fireworks and they did not disappoint.

If you missed out Thursday, no need for concern. The City of Coos Bay will have it's fireworks display near downtown on Friday night, and the City of Lakeside will hold theirs on Saturday night.
