OSP arrest man, 67, on child sex abuse charges
This is a press release courtesy of the Oregon State Police A Newberg man was arrested Tuesday afternoon by Oregon State Police (OSP) detectives on 67 counts of Using a Child in Display of Sexually Explicit Conduct and one count of Sex Abuse in the First Degree following an investigation that originated in Deschutes County and led investigators to the man's home. The search warrant stemmed from an investigation that started Sunday in the Sisters area when Deschutes County Sheriff's Office investigated a report of suspicious activities involving Pelling and a known minor age female at a local motel. Pelling was arrested for three counts of Sex Abuse in the First Degree and 11 counts of Using a Child in Display of Sexually Explicit Conduct, and he was lodged at Deschutes County Jail. A review by a Deschutes County sheriff detective revealed numerous sexually explicit images of a minor female on the suspect's laptop computer.
