COOS BAY - Hoping to make it four more years on the Coos Bay City Council, Councilor Jon Eck stops by Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty Group Monday night, to update them on current happening's within the city and tell them why he is running for re-election.

Eck was the official guest of the group at their regular meeting.

He was appointed to the council in 2002 and is running for another term, and he's hoping his six years of experience already on the council as well as his work as a volunteer on the Coos Bay Fire Department, will help him this fall.

He also says there are a lot of unfinished city projects he wants to help get underway.

"It's a great way to help out the community and there's some big projects coming up within the community. We have a $40 million waste water treatment plant or, treatment upgrades that we need to take care of. Continuation of the fire station which we already started and we got the Empire Hollering Place project which I'd like to see get started," says Eck.

Eck will be running for a four year term on the council this fall.
