WINCHESTER BAY - For the second time this year, Pelican Market in Winchester Bay is broken into, but this time they say there was something out of the ordinary in this burglary.

On the morning of September 3rd, employees got to work only to discover an ATM machine missing from their store.

Building Owner Charles Parker says they have been broken into in the past, but it's usually broken windows and stolen merchandise they find.

He says it was clearly planned because of the sophisticated tools used to break in, remove the machine, and break back out.

Craig Re rents the space next door and says the suspects crawled right through his store to reach Pelican Market.

The ATM machine was later found off Southside Road with an undisclosed amount of cash missing.

As for Parker, he says he now plans to have an alarm installed.

The investigation into the incident is still ongoing and officials are asking anyone with information to call the Douglas County Sheriff's Office at 541-440-4471.
