NORTH BEND, ORE - School is just about out for Summer, which sadly means that some students could go hungry if not for one particular program that looks to make sure they get their regular lunches.

Starting on Monday, June 15th, the North Bend School District will once again kick-off it's Summer food program, bringing hot lunches to 26 sites in Reedsport, North Bend, Coquille and Myrtle Point.

And for kids 18 and under it's totally free.

Food Service Director Rhonda Hoffine says there are six trucks that travel to all of the sites. "Those kids are waiting out there for us to come up to these sites, they're really excited to see our trucks...and moms and dads are extremely thankful because it helps their budget in the summertime."

Adults are also able to grab a bite to eat at those sites, although there is a minor two dollar charge for those meals.

You don't have to even be a resident of Coos or Douglas Counties to take part. Anyone can get a meal.

You can also call your local school to see if they are part of this, or any other, summer lunch program.
