NORTH BEND, Ore-Local businesses turn out in a big way, by helping sponsor the second Annual Prostate Cancer Awareness event held at the Pony Village Mall in North Bend.

Harley Davidson Bikes, Verger Dodge pick-up trucks and Parker's ATV's were just a few of the businesses lined up and down the mall Saturday, for the Safeway Sponsored Sportsman and Outdoor show.

But the big crowd pleaser was the in-door trout fishing pond, put on by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Tom Rumreich with ODFW says, "1,500 gallons of water in mall right here, which is a little nerve-racking and 403 trout. And we hope that most of these trout will go home with children."

Safeway representative, Danyll Chandler says, this participation by local organizations and businesses is a huge help in their fight against Prostate Cancer.

"We'd just like to thank everybody an like I said again, early detection is best and we just to to keep the research going and thank you very much for all your support."

100% of the proceeds will go to Prostate Cancer and Research Awareness.
