EMPIRE, Ore. - Celebrating it's rich history and it's future, folks headed to the Empire District on Saturday, to eat, drink, and be merry at the Clamboree Festival.

Over 50 vendors showed off their wares at the first of its kind event, while there were countless activities for kids down at the Hollering Place by the water.

Folks got a chance to tour historic spots in the district including the Old Tower House Bed and Breakfast, as well as the Confederated Tribes' reservation.

Bu what would a Clamboree Festival be without clams.

Students from OCCI were busy preparing clam po-boy sandwiches and chowder, and offered up some tips on the best way to prepare clams.

Later in the day, the Coast Guard landed a helicopter at the Hollering Place for folks to tour.

There was also live music and charter boat rides across the bay.
