LAKESIDE, Ore.- While not a huge turn out, the Kings of Cardboard event did bring some competitors to Ten Mile Lake.

Three local businesses, Steve's ATV, Goonie's Sports Bar and Walt's Pourhouse all got into the competitive spirit to raise money for two local charities. The money raised during Saturday's races will go to three year old Kienyn Wicks who suffers from a life threatening liver disease and to the local animal shelter.

Organizer T.J. White says, "100% down to the pop, the water, everything. Walt's Pourhouse put up $300 right away into the pot so that will definitely help out." White says he hopes this event gains more momentum next year to include more charities.
