Health advisory lifted for Tenmile Lake
By Kristina Nelson, KCBY NewsLAKESIDE, Ore. - A health advisory for Tenmile Lake that went into effect in September has now been lifted. The healthy advisory, prompted by high algae levels found in Tenmile Lake in Lakeside, was lifted on Monday by the Oregon Department of Human Services. The advisory went into effect on September 18th. Water monitoring has confirmed reduced levels of blue-green algae, which can produce toxins harmful to humans and animals. DHS says the reduced levels are not likely to be associated with dangerous toxin concentrations in the water, according to World Health Organization guidelines. Most Popular |
