Nick Harrison, a senior at Myrtle Point High School, passed away Tuesday evening at OHSU.  While we do not know the reason for Nick's passing, his sudden death is tragic and has left Myrtle Point students deeply saddened.

Our students, staff and community are in a state of disbelief and shock.  Nick attended Myrtle Point Schools since kindergarten and will be truly missed.

Nick's sense of humor could always bring a smile to your face.  He was well loved by students and teachers alike.  He was involved in the culinary team all four years at Myrtle Point High School.

His love for cooking and the culinary arts were apparent by his enthusiasm to participate in coming cooking competitions.  The district staff extends condolences to the family and wishes you to know that Nick is a beloved student, and he will be missed at Myrtle Point High School.

A celebration of life will be held for Nicholas Kirby Harrison, 18, of Myrtle Point, at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 2, at Myrtle Point Christian Assembly, 1121 Bothwick in Myrtle Point.
