OREGON CITY - Clackamas County sheriff's deputies have arrested two people on suspicion of promoting prostitution on Craigslist.

They are identified as 22-year-old Randi Jo Goodwin of Oregon City, and 40-year-old Jimmy Varner of Milwaukie.

Both were booked and released and have court dates for August 23rd.

Police described the Craigslist ads as "blatantly obvious prostitution activities."

Deputies raided Varner's home in Milwaukie on Wednesday.
Detective Jim Strovink said Varner took half of the money made by at least two women.

Earlier this year Beaverton police arrested nine women in connection with promoting prostitution on Craigslist. Last year, Salem police arrested three women in a similar case.
