Sheriff's Department donates used car to Hauser Citizen's Patrol
By Kristina Nelson, KCBY NewsHAUSER, Ore. - Patrols in the Hauser area will now be a little bit easier for a group of citizen volunteers, who recently received a very generous donation from the sheriff's department. Last week, the Hauser Citizen's Patrol, received a used patrol car from the Coos County Sheriff's Department, who were looking to get rid of some of their older vehicles to make room for new ones. Citizens Patrol Operations Director Dave Hudson says having an extra vehicle definitely helps. "It gives us more of a presence in the area," he says. Hudson says the patrol volunteers act as an extra set of eyes for law enforcement. This car joins another patrol car donated by the sheriff's department a couple of years ago. |
