Drug Traffickers stopped in Myrtle Point
By Erica Rush, KCBY NewsCOQUILLE, Ore. -A traffic stop in Myrtle Point early Tuesday, March 16, uncovers thousands of dollars worth of narcotics. Officers located a Green Ford Taurus, thought to be involved in drug trafficking, around 4:30 Tuesday morning. According to the South Coast Interagency Narcotics Team, Officers responded to the car with a search warrant, and discovered 115 tablets of ecstasy, two ounces of cocaine and approximately a half pound of marijuana, as well as an AK47 type semiautomatic rifle and a stolen 45 semiautomatic pistol. The estimated street value of the narcotics is approximately $6,000. Three Coos County Residents, who's names have not yet been released, will be referred to the District Attorney's Office on multiple drug charges. A four-month old child, who was not present during the traffic stop, was later placed in protective custody. |
