LAKESIDE, ORE - Dr. Scott Roberts, a Republican candidate for State House District Nine seat, meets with voters in Lakeside as he starts to take aim at the November General Election.

Roberts, an Oral Surgeon from North Bend, says he is a small business owner who wants to create incentives for small business.

"I want to create an environment that allows jobs to prosper by allowing businesses not to be over-regulated, over-taxed, too many fees and regulations."

He will run unopposed in the May Primary, but will go up against three term incumbent Arnie Roblan in the November Election.

Roblan has good intentions, says Roberts, but has different views on how to go about job creation.

"We have a strong history in timber and forestry and fishing, and Mr. Roblan hasn't been a huge supporter of those industries, and that's the backbone of our community from Coos Bay to Florence and so I want to fight for them."
