Prosecutor: Man shot in head with handgun
BANDON, Ore. - A man with a gunshot wound to the head flagged down a motorist for help Tuesday night, and police later arrested a man and charged him with attempted murder.

Daniel Cullen Plymyer, 28, stopped a motorist for help Tuesday around 6:47 p.m. near 1175 SW 4th Street in Bandon, Ore., according to the Coos County District Attorney's Office.

Police responded to Southern Coos Hospital, where Plymyer received treatment before being taken by air ambulance to Oregon Heath and Sciences University in Portland, Ore. He is expected to survive the wound.

Officers learned Plymyer had been in an argument with Christopher James Littles, 27, of Bandon. Littles pulled a handgun and shot Plymyer in the head, police said.

Littles fled the residence but was found about an hour later on the beach.

He was taken to the Coos County Jail on charges of Attempted Murder with a Firearm and Assault in the First Degree with a Firearm.

Littles will be arraigned via video link at the Coos County Courthouse at 8:15 a.m. Thursday morning.
