COOS BAY, Ore. - Even though winter is still months away, a group of local business owners are thinking ahead, and asking the community to help them collect donated coats, to help area kids and adults warm once cold weather hits.

Now through the end of August a group of business owners who call themselves the Bay Area Small Business Owner's group, is collecting new or gently used coats that will be distributed to kids and adults in need this fall.

According to Aimee Elliott, owner of Siren Song in Downtown Coos Bay, the group decided to start this coat drive, because they saw a need in the community.

You can drop off your new and used coats at Siren Song, K-Dock Radio, Image Makers Salon, Tee Shirt Express, and Allison's Pet Palace.
