ATV accident sends man to South Coast hospital

HAUSER, Ore.-- The first serious injury All-Terrain Vehicle accident of the season sends one man to the hospital.

According to the Coos County Sheriff's Office, a 29-year-old Ashland Oregon man was taken to Bay Area Hospital last weekend after he suffered a concussion and broke his collar bone when he crashed his ATV at the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area near Hauser.

Duputies believe the man flipped his Honda Foreman quad before he injured himself near Saunders Sand Road.

Authorities are asking people to remember safety on the dunes as weather gets warmer, and more people head outside for fun.
