Two more people charged in sex abuse case

COQUILLE, Ore. - In addition to the investigation of District Attorney Paul Frasier's 17 year old son, two more suspects are arrested on rape charges involving a 13 year old girl.

According to a press release from the Coquille Police Department, 19 year old Spencer Shimoto of Coquille was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with second degree rape, unlawful sexual penetration, sex abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

18 year old Chay Gilbert was also arrested Thursday afternoon on the same charges.

KCBY talked with Police Chief Janice Blue over the phone, she says, after the victim told her family about the sexual abuse allegations, an investigation began. It was determined the suspects engaged in sexual intercourse with the victim on several occasions while she was a minor.

That investigation lead to the arrests, and both Shimoto and Jacob Frasier's cases will be handled by the Douglas County District Attorney's Office.
