Bandon man and associate arrested for cross-country marijuana transport

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind.-- Two men from the Oregon coast have been arrested in Indiana after troopers say they were hauling a large amount of marijuana from Oregon to New York.
An Indiana State Trooper pulled over a U-Haul rental truck for a minor traffic violation on the Indiana Toll Road on Nov. 29.
After being asked a few questions, troopers say the driver Kelly Sullivan, 39, of Nehalem began acting strange. It was then the trooper ran his K-9 partner around the outside of the truck. That is when the dog began to make movements that it had detected drugs.
The trooper seached the passenger cabin of the U-Haul and found a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. While placing Sullivan under arrest, the trooper said he recieved a call from Brian Kraynik, 36, of Bandon.
Kraynik said he rented the truck and was driving to New York with Sullivan, following in another car behind him. According to troopers, he went on to say that he put several pounds of marijuana in the back of the truck and did not tell Sullivan.
Kraynik turned himself into troopers minutes later.
Troopers opened the rear of the truck to find 13 boxes that contained 90 pounds of marijuana. The marijuana has a street value of approximately $4,000-$5,000 per pound.
Kraynick was arrested and is being charged with dealing marijuana and possession of marijuana. Sullivan is being charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

I agree that using the bible for this is very obtuse, I dont think that it has anything to do with whats really going on here. I also dont think that this man has really done anything all that wrong. marijuana is becoming leagle in many states every week and does not pose a puplic threat. Now if this were bath salts (which just recently became illeagal in indiana)or meth or anyother chemical wich causes mind altering violent behavior I could see the issue. These guys are definately not what I would call a public threat. I think at most some public service and written appologies to the state are in order..... maybe probation. have them do something good for the cumminity.
wow, really? Thats taking the bs to another level. And there IS a difference between anointing and smoking. I think you got lost in translation. But then again, people all over want to make everything ok, and want to use the Bible as reference. Not a wise choice in my opinion. I DO wish people would quit trying to justify their alcohol, drug and sex abuse by using the Bible.
Jesus specifically told his disciples to âanointâ people. That anointing took place using a specific formula made from a recipe found in the Old Testament book of Exodus.
That recipe (Exodus 30:23) includes about 6 pounds of âkaneh-bosenâ According to many biblical scholars, âkaneh-bosenâ was/is Marijuana.
Most of the diseases mentioned as being healed miraculously after anointing are, curiously, the same ones that cannabis can heal today. Things like epilepsy, leprosy, and âcrooked limbsâ (an obvious reference to multiple sclerosis).
