67-year-old Oregon man drowns in Idaho reservoir

CASCADE, Idaho (KBOI) -- A 67-year-old Oregon man drowned in Cascade Reservoir Wednesday, the Valley County Sheriff's Office says.

Lt. Dan Smith says Byron Williams of Terrebonne, Ore., was launching his boat from the Sugarloaf boat docks near Cascade when he fell from the dock during a windstorm. His body was found about a 30-minutes later by fire and emergency crews.

CPR was administered, however, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Smith told KBOI 2News that Williams had some sort of medical condition and was not wearing a life vest.
