Commercial jet service returns to North Bend

NORTH BEND, Ore. -- The south coast is a little more than a week out from the return of commercial jet service.

The Southwest Oregon Regional Airport says the first regional commercial jet in more than two years returns to the airport on June 6.

The CRJ-200 will be operated by Skywest Airlines on behalf of United Express.

The flights between North Bend and San Francisco will last until late November.

The airport credits visitors to the Bandon Dunes for the increase in seasonal travel.
