The following is a press release from the Coos Bay Coast League Baseball:
COOS COUNTY, Ore. -- The Coos Bay Coast League, an affiliate of Babe Ruth and Cal Ripken Baseball, announces its plans for the 2014 season. Registration begins February 15th on the turf football field at Marshfield High School. If we have heavy rain, we will be in the Harding Gym across the parking lot. The cost for the season is $70.00 per player and includes three, one-hour mini camps, team practices and games. Participants will also be able to keep their team hats. The board of directors of the Coos Bay Coast League will focus on good sportsmanship, fundamentals and the life-long love of baseball.

Camps: These camps are drill oriented, focusing on the development of fundamentals while working with the baseball players from Marshfield and North Bend High School. We will be on the Marshfield High School football field turf, or in case of rain, the Harding Gym. Players must register prior to participating in any camps due to insurance reasons. You may mail in the attached registration form with payment and proof of age to avoid any waiting on the camp days.
The camp schedule is:
Saturdays February 15th, February 22nd & March 1st
Registration begins: 11:45am each Saturday
Camp 1 – 12:00 – 12:55 (T-Ball Age 4-6)
Camp 2 – 1:00 – 1:55 (Rookie Age 7-8)
Camp 3 – 2:00 – 2:55 (Minor Age 9-10)
Camp 4 – 3:00 – 4:00 (Major Age 11-12)
These are the camp times for the age groups, however, if you have a conflict you are welcome to bring your baseball player at a different camp time.
*Home Game Locations: T-Ball (Sunset Football Field), Rookie (Sunset small field), Minor (Sunset big field), Major (BACAPA Field)
Players will be placed on teams after the final camp.
Coaches will notify players/parents of practice schedule by March 20th.
Game schedules will be given to coaches/players after players are on teams.
