Seamus Golf started as a hobby and turned into a business

BANDON, Ore. - Marathon golfers took advantage of the late spring day Monday.

Beaverton-based Seamus Golf held a sewing marathon at the same time, sewing golf club head covers for the players.

The company started as a hobby for Megan and Akbar Chisti.

Three years later, they're in pro shops around the world.

"Just kind of started giving them as gifts and what not and caught the interest of the merchandiser down here at Bandon, so they were actually our first customer," Megan Chisti said. "So my husband is out there playing, and he signed us up for this gig - and then went out to play."
