Health advisory lifted for Mill Beach and Harris Beach St. Park

MILL BEACH, Ore. -- The health advisory for Harris Beach State Park and Mill Beach were lifted Friday after testing showed a decreased level of fecal bacteria.

Water samples taken from the Curry County beaches three weeks ago came back with elevated levels of fecal bacteria. Health officials then issued a warning to anyone who may try to swim in those areas.

After a new round of testing, biologists determined there is no longer a higher-than-normal risk to people out playing in the ocean.
