MYRTLE POINT, Ore. -- The tragic deaths of Renae and Lola Cottam have shaken the community in Bridge and Myrtle Point, but a local library has already taken steps to remember and honor the family's memory.

Renae and Lola visited the Myrtle Point library often.

They were close with the staff who say they are greatly missed. "The library staff truly looked forward to them coming to the library," said library director, Linda Bennett.

Donations will help with the rebuilding of the library.

On Wednesday, crews started the project by replacing windows.

According to friends, Mr. Cottam used to say that if he ever won the lottery, he'd hope to build a library.

This library hopes they are that much closer to fulfilling his wish.
