Man charged with sex crimes asks for trial

COQUILLE, Ore.-- A Coos County man facing numerous sex crimes charges he allegedly carried out with an underaged girl in 2012 is headed for trial.

William Cisernos' attorney tells KCBY News that his client will not accept a plea deal and wants his case heard before a jury.

Cisneros is accused of having a sexual relationship with an underaged girl and then taking lewd videos of her last year.

He was arrested January 23 on four counts of using a child in display of sexually explicit conduct, four counts of encouraging child sex abuse, four counts of possession of child sex material and three counts of third-degree sexual abuse.

Cisneros' attorney Allen Goldman with Southwest Oregon Public Defender Services says he hasn't been able to move forward on the case, despite Cisneros being arrested earlier this year, because there is a lot of evidence in the case that is being sorted out between his office and the Coos County District Attorney's office.

The trial will happen in mid-July and is scheduled for a two day hearing.
