FBI: Armed robber in Springfield hit Tualatin bank last month

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - The FBI suspects the man who robbed a US Bank in Springfield Tuesday is the same man who robbed a Bank of the West in Tualatin September 5.

"The suspect is believed to be wearing the same hooded jacket in both robberies, and the physical descriptions are almost identical," the FBI said in a press release.

The suspect entered the US Bank on Mohawk Boulevard just before 10:30 a.m.

Witnesses told police the man entered the bank with a rifle wrapped in a blanket and demanded money.

He fled the bank on foot.

Police search the area, to no avail.

The suspect was described as a white man, about 40 to 50 years old, 6-feet tall , 210 pounds with darker long hair.

He was wearing a light green and white plaid jacket with a hood at the time of the robbery.
