Manhunt on the south coast is over
PORT ORFORD, Ore. -- The two men police have been looking for are in custody, after authorities say they beat a man with a baseball bat and threw him off a cliff.
Oregon State Police were looking for Allen Douglas Vonnevin, 33, and Glenn Allen Burkhow, 32, (both from Port Orford) in connection to an assault that happened at Paradise Point State Park.
Troopers say the two men beat a man with a baseball bat and then threw his body off a cliff.
Glenn Burkhow turned himself in to police last week, and troopers have arrested Vonnevin at a home in Curry County.
The victim underwent surgery at a Springfield hospital, but no word yet on his condition.

I happen to know "some" of the details Gregory Dalton... I suppose it was a sad attempt at humor when you stated, "some people deserve to be thrown off a cliff....just saying." The truth is, the pictures above are of two men who beat a man with a baseball bat so horrifically it collapsed a lung, put over 100 stitches in his head, and broke his back in two places. That is a portion of what they did BEFORE throwing him off that cliff. So, please do explain a "backstory" that would justify those actions against another human being... Please enlighten me with the wisdom you possess that says there is a backstory that would make it acceptable to talk about how upsetting it is to not be able to knock a victim unconscious while beating him with a baseball bat.

You guys don't know the victim, I do, so the comment Mr. Dalton made is extremely offensive and indicates he believes it is okay to beat people up because you can? As for the two suspects, they are where they need to stay. One is not as bad as the other but this crime was brutal. Hopefully the State Police will be able to do more than any city or county forces have.
they are being held on $5.5 million bond each
My hope is they go to jail for the rest of their lives .. The DA should be working hard to do this ..
