Only people living within 100 feet of the site were notified of a public hearing on the matter. But residents in the Simpson Heights area said they are close enough to be worried about the effects of a 2,000 plus workforce camp a 1/10th of a mile away.

NORTH BEND, Ore. - After some residents in North Bend said they didn't have enough say when it came to a proposed Jordan Cove liquified natural gas terminal work force camp near Simpson Heights, the city is holding a public comment period.

A meeting will give representatives of the company, city government and members of the community a chance to discuss the future work force camp.

The meeting will be at the North Bend Community Center on Wednesday, July 16, at 7 p.m.
