Mr. Bulldog contestants take orders and clear plates

NORTH BEND, Ore. - The Mr. Bulldog fundraiser is in full swing, and contestants are out in the community, giving back where they live and having fun while doing so.

Friday night, the contest brought all ten senior boys out to the Kozy Kitchen in North Bend, where a portion of the night's proceeds were donated to the "Kids Helping Kids" program, apart of the Children's Miracle Network.

One contestant, Nathan Forderer tells KCBY, the charity hits close to home.

"I was actually in the Children's Miracle Network myself! I was there for two months, I weighed 4 (pounds) 3 ounces. They held me there and then I was released at 6 pounds, and I turned out great," explains Forderer.

He and his fellow Bulldogs were serving food, picking up plates and refilling coffee cups. Each contestant is trying to raise $2,000.

"We have really had a great turnout. Family and friends are here. It's really fun working with everybody. We have ten senior Mr. Bulldog contestants, and we're just all having a great year," exclaims Forderer.

Up next for the Mr. Bulldog fundraiser, is Tai's Dynasty night on Wednesday, January 25th. Come by from four to nine pm to get served up by a bulldog, and help them raise funds for a great cause.
