NB homicide victim was stabbed to death
COQUILLE, Ore.-- The Coos County District Attorney says an autopsy has revealed that a man found dead in a North Bend motel Tuesday morning was stabbed to death.

Coos County D.A. Paul Frasier stated in a press release that an autopsy performed on David Marion Barker Thursday afternoon revealed that he was stabbed in his chest and neck.

Barker was found dead on Tuesday morning by a housekeeper in his room at the Itty Bitty Inn on Highway 101 in North Bend.

Frasier stated that in addition to having multiple stab wounds, the autopsy showed that Barker endured blunt force trauma to his head, upper chest and back.

Frasier has arraigned Ronald Wayne Ambill on murder charges, and he says he will present the autopsy in addition to other evidence before a grand jury early next week.

Ambill was originally sought after in the case as a person of interest. His bail is set at $2 million, and he is currently in the Coos County Jail.

Ambill and his attorney are due back in court for preliminary hearing on July 26th.
