Newspaper readers pick TV website as Reader's Choice — Readers chose KPIC.com as the best website in Douglas County, Ore.

ROSEBURG, Ore. - The readers of the leading newspaper in Douglas County named the website affiliated with the local CBS affiliate their choice for the best website in the county.

KPIC.com won the Reader's Choice award for best website, announced Tuesday in special section published in The (Roseburg) News-Review newspaper.

Webmaster Kevin Taggart fills multiple rolls at KPIC News, including coordinating web and TV coverage with the KPIC News team.

The KPIC.com team also plays an active roll in Oregon and Northwest news coverage for Fisher Communications and sister Fisher Interactive Network sites KCBY.com in Coos Bay, KVAL.com in Eugene/Springfield and KATU.com in Portland.

The Reader's Choice honored three other Douglas County websites.

Second place: NRtoday.com, the website affiliated with The News-Review

Third place: 541radio.com

www.co.douglas.or.us, the official Douglas County government website, received an honorable mention.
