One dead, another inured in crash near Silver Lake, Ore.

PORTLAND, Ore. – A 22-year-old man is dead, another injured in a crash along Highway 31 near Silver Lake, Ore. early Saturday morning. 

State police said that Sean Taylor Berglund, 22 from Gresham, Ore., was driving a Ford F150 pickup truck north on Highway 31 when it went off the road and rolled onto its top. The crash happened just before 1 a.m. Saturday.

Officials said that Berglund  was seriously injured in the crash, while passenger Robert Edward Sanchez Busch, also 22 from Gresham, died at the scene.

Berglund was taken to a Bend, Ore. hospital. He is expected to survive, police said.

Police said that Berglund mentioned that a third person may have been in the truck. Crash investigators are looking into the possibility of a third occupant.

It’s unclear what caused the truck to travel off the road, police said alcohol is being investigated as a factor in the crash.
