COOS BAY, Ore. - Weyerhaeuser plans to sell a limited number of permits to access private timberlands for recreational purposes.
Permits for the Millicoma Tree Farm go on sale online Wednesday at 6 p.m. for $350 apiece.
Only 1,000 will be sold.
One permit covers legally married spouses, as well as children and grandchildren age 18 and under.
Permit holders will have access 7 days per week from August 1, 2014, to July 31, 2015
to 157,000 acres.
Entry starts 1 1/2 half hours before sunrise and ends 1 1/2 hours after sunset.
Weyerhaeuser said it still reserves the right to close the tree farm in times of high fire danger.
