COOS BAY, Ore. -- A reward is now being offered for new information that will help family and friends find the woman who went missing from her Coos Bay apartment two weeks ago.
Holly Berry, 34, was last seen at around 4:00 p.m. on January 3, leaving her home at Baybridge Apartments on Norman Avenue.
Berry's family said in a statement on Thursday, that many individuals and teams have been looking for her, including two police departments, tribal and college security, Project Hope, friends and neighbors.
They say a privately hired tracker, Harry Oakes, of International K9 Search and Rescue, has been to the area twice, but authorities have been unable to find her.
A reward fund has been set up, with an initial amount of $1,000 for new information that leads to finding Berry.
The family is asking for donations to the fund, which can be made at this Web site.
Berry's family says there were ten sightings of Holly between 1:00 p.m. and 4:15p.m. on the day she went missing.
No one has reported seeing her since, they said.
She was last seen walking on Newmark Avenue three blocks east of her apartment and one block short of Wal-Mart.
The family says security cameras reveal that she did not make it to the Wal-Mart parking lot.
If you have any information you are urged to call the Coos Bay Police Department at 541-269-8911.
also would like to know if there is any updates.
Has there been any updates??????????? praying she is safe.
I am Glenda Campbell's daughter. Â I think it's wonderful that money is being offered for information on Holly but I honestly don't think it would have produced more information on my mom. Â The Coos Bay community really came together for her as I'm sure they have for Holly as well. Â Our thoughts are with Holly's family and friends. Â Nothing can describe the feeling of not knowing what has happened. Â Knowing the police are doing all they can and that the community has been so supportive has helped us through this difficult time.
i wish there was something i could do to help but i have posting and shareingthese andwatching hope shecomes home safe
Just because she didn't make it on foot doesn't mean she didn't come into the parking lot in a car if someone picked her up. Using Google Maps, I see a path leading from the rear of the parking lot behind the TLE. Anyone with knowledge of the area could have taken her back there. Has it been checked? Are there security cameras back there?
@CaptchaThis My thoughts exactly there are all kinds of transients etc that live in back of Wal Mart in the wooded area and that is where all the thieves head to after they have stolen stuff from Wal Mart I am sure someone has searched that are at least I hope they have.
May god be with her aman ;::)
I'm glad a reward is being offered for information about Holly. I wish I had $$ to offer a reward for Glenda Campbell. At least I can try to keep her name in the news.
@CaptchaThis , does it bother you as well that there are now two missing women in the area? I just get this sick feeling. I hope it is because I watch too many stories of real crimes, but the first thing that popped into my head was that there might be a serial killer out there. I don't understand why law enforcement thinks there is no foul play involved. How could you come to that conclusion when you have no idea where the person is? Really bothers me that there are two women out there missing and we can't find them.
I wish I had the $$ to offer a reward for Glenda Campbell.
