Safety Fair returns to North Bend

Safety Fair returns to North Bend
NORTH BEND, Ore. -- It's emergency preparedness month, so fire trucks, cop cars and boats filled the Pony Village Mall on Saturday for the Safety Fair.

The community had the chance to meet over 20 local safety teams, from North Bend Fire and Rescue, to Henderson Karate.

A Coast Guard helicopter even landed in the parking lot.

Kim Singh owns Henderson Karate and helped organize this event. She says it's the first time in many years our community has had a safety fair.

"This way the public can get together and see everybody in one shot. There were a few organizations I hadn't even known about until I started putting this event together," Singh said.

The event was fun for all ages, with games and prizes for kids, and life-saving information for adults.
