Salem police investigate Ore. state worker's death

SALEM, Ore. (AP) — Police in Salem are investigating the case of a 51-year-old state Justice Department employee found dead in her home. Authorities say another employee has been placed on administrative leave after being interviewed by police.
A spokesman for State Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum says she has also ordered an internal investigation into the death of Paula Heusinkveld.
Rosenblum spokesman Jeff Manning says the woman was a management assistant in the trial division and had been with the department since June 1989.
Both the Statesman Journal and Oregonian carried reports on the case.
Heusinkveld is believed to have died Wednesday. Salem police Lt. Steve Birr said a medical examiner initially said she died of natural causes. The woman reportedly had heart issues.
Birr says a toxicology report should be available in about a month.
