Search suspended for missing Coos Bay woman
COOS BAY, Ore. -- Officials suspended the search for a missing Coos County woman after conducting several interviews and an extensive search of the local area.
Glenda Campbell, 59, was reported missing from Coos Bay on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
Coos Bay Police said she was last seen at her apartment near South Empire Boulevard and Fulton Avenue in Coos Bay on Monday evening. Campbell was wearing a blue shirt, khaki pants, and a white jacket.
Friends of Campbell said she didn't show up for work on Monday.
During a subsequent search for the missing woman, police conducted multiple interviews with people involved with Campbell. Crews also did extensive searches of the nearby beach and surrounding areas. Detectives didn't uncover any leads in the case.
Police found her cell phone, purse, and ID in her apartment.
Campbell has diabetes, so her disappearance may be health-related.
If you have any new information on the case, call the Coos Bay Police Department at (541) 269-8911.
Glenda is a family member and we miss her so much if anyone knows anything more email me at angelanicoletaylor@hotmail.com
2 months later we have another missing women from the same area
@SUSAN But for this one, the search wasn't suspended after just 5 days.
I found it strange they only focussed on the shoreline -why not expand their search to woods, nearby neighborhood or Empire buildings . Saddens me that she wasn't known by many that the search is suspended I have to wonder if she was a popular citizen if the search would stay on longer and why the public can't help out looking for her too.Â
The question is how long should the police look for a missing person. Does a child warrant a longer search than a senior???

It makes me sad that the search has been suspended. I was hoping for her to be found safe and sound by now.
