LAKESIDE, Ore. -- The Department of Human Services is investigating a Lakeside woman, after authorities say her child called 911 for help Sunday night.
According to the Coos County Sheriff's log, a little boy called for help, telling the dispatcher his mom was in her room smoking drugs and that he didn't feel safe in his own home.
Deputies arrived to check on the boy and say they found his mother smoking marijuana.
According to the log, deputies said she was not under the influence enough to endanger her children.
Deputies cited the woman for possession of marijuana and the case was referred to DHS.
