COOS BAY, Ore. - Another water line replacement project is in store for the Bay Area this summer.

The Coos Bay-North Bend Water Board has started work on a section of water line near North 8th and Pine streets.

Crews will replace nearly 2,000 feet of old pipe.

"It's a big project for us in fact the entire project will be about 4,500 feet, and so we've broken it down into two projects," said Rob Schab, water board GM. "This water main has experienced problems over the last number of years and it's actually part of a very much larger project that includes 10th Street that we replaced the water main several years ago."

No word yet on when this first phase of the project will be finished.

Schab said phase two will start next year.
