"It was a very,very good fall on the Oregon Coast for salmon this year, then we went into this drought," Linklater said. "They need rain to get up into the river, and we just went without. It's been cramping a lot of fishing guides style. If you don't have water to float the river, fish don't come in and you don't have enough water to work with. That's affected the econmoy, small towns that have people, my clients staying, buying gas, buying food, buying motels."
