Baby Deer
Boise Firefighters have made a new friend. Boise Fire says a newborn female mule deer was recently brought to Fire Station No. 8 near Orchard and Overland by a gardener who found it nearby and thought it may have been abandoned. Firefighters got in some pictures and a few cuddle sessions, but then called Idaho Fish and Game. The fawn was taken to a veterinarian for a checkup, but is now being transported to a deer farm in northern Idaho. Courtesy Boise Fire Dept.
