PORTLAND, Ore. – President Barack Obama will be in town Tuesday, July 24 to raise money for his re-election campaign, and his campaign began officially asking supporters to attend the event on its website Tuesday.

The campaign is calling the noon event a "Lunch Reception with President Obama" and it will be held at the Portland Art Museum.

For those interested in attending the luncheon it will cost a minimum of $500 per person. "Premium seating" will cost $1,000 and attendees forking out $5,000 can get a picture with the president.

Obama's Republican rival, Mitt Romney, has already made three fundraising stops to Portland in the last year. During his last visit, June 4, he raised at least $500,000, but The Oregonian reported it could have been more than $1,000,000.

So far neither candidate has held any public campaign events in Oregon for this year's race for the White House.
