Coos Bay- A freeze warning would not stop the Marshfield Pirates from heating up the courts at Pirate Palace on Friday, as the girls basketball team took on the Willamette Wolverines.

In the second period the Pirates trailing Willamette, 34 Brittany Young takes the shot, it hits the rim but Moriah Roberge recovers the miss and gets the put-back for Marshfield.

Young again, yeah she knows how to defend too, gets the steal after that block, races home to the Pirate basket, hoops it up for two, whistle blows for the foul and she makes the free throw, squeezing three points out of that play.

Roberge looking for some love, finds Brianna George just cross court who hits this basket with style.

But the Wolverines fought hard and handed the Pirates a loss with the final score 43-37.
