EUGENE, OR - Barring any set backs, head coach Dana Altman says the Ducks will see the return of freshman point guard Dominic Artis in the Civil War on Thursday.

Artis has been out since playing against Washington State on January 23.  He's missed a total of total of nine with a left foot injury.  The extent of his injury has never been disclosed.

Artis took off his walking boot and practiced with the team on Monday and Tuesday.  Altman is cautiously optimistic about Artis' return to game action.

"We don't want any set backs," said Altman.  "So, we'll take it really slow.  We'll take it really slow Thursday night, but he's moving pretty good.  He says he feels good.  So, we'll just keep moving forward."

Artis will not start the game against the Beavers.  Junior Jonathan Loyd will again the be the starter at point guard.  Artis will come off the bench and his minutes will be limited.

"We're just happy that he's with us again," said senior forward E.J. Singler.  "I hope his turn around is quick."
